At Combined Martial Science, our carefully structured programs go far beyond punching, blocking and kicking. We will help you acquire effective self-defense skills and provide you with a comprehensive, personal development program. Our martial arts programs include the following exciting classes:
Men, women and teens, ages 14 and up, are all welcome in this mixed martial arts class. Some people arrive as early as 3:30 p.m. and start working out with weights, kickboxing and grappling. We even have six Airdynes (exercise bicycles) for those of you who want to focus a little more on your cardio training. At 7:00 p.m., the last children’s class ends and the structured adult class begins, running until 9:00 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., adult students will focus on kickboxing, Muay Thai, Karate and circuit training (including speed bags, double-end bags, heavy bags, banana bags, upper-cut bags, specialty bags, jump rope, stationary bike riding, and optional sparring).
From 8:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., we have our structured adult Jujitsu, Sambo and submission grappling class. During this class, you will learn ground fighting techniques from all of the various martial arts styles, including over 3,000 throws, sweeps, turn-overs, chokes, joint locks, pressure points, and more. Keep in mind that you always have the option to practice sparring, Muay Thai, submission grappling or mixed martial arts for the entire two hours.
If you want to learn mixed martial arts, Combined Martial Science is the perfect school for you! You will learn Judo, Muay Thai, Jujitsu, kickboxing and Sambo. You will also learn how to train with speed bags, heavy bags, banana bags, upper-cut bags, double-end bags and various specialty bags. And if you want to fight, our school competes in most kickboxing, Jujitsu, Judo and mixed martial arts tournaments. Many of our teens even fight on their own local high school wrestling teams in the area. As a matter of fact, if you are currently on your high school’s wrestling team, then you are probably already training with some of our Combined Martial Science students! So, if you are already a wrestler and you want to better your skills, come work out with us.
As a member of the Combined Martial Science dojo, you can tell your parents that your consistent martial arts training will help you to better your focus, mental discipline, respect and overall attitude. Your parents will even see a steady improvement not only in your school grades, but also in the way you present yourself before others.
Come try one of the most fun and exciting ways to get in shape: kickboxing. Our kickboxing class is designed to teach martial arts techniques while simultaneously toning the body. Self-defense moves, such as kicking, punching and blocking, are taught
Jujitsu is a dynamic self-defense system that teaches one of the most effective martial arts in the world. You will learn Brazilian, Japanese and Russian ground-fighting techniques, including all of the latest striking, submissions and finishes seen in UFC or pro fighting (arm bars, chokes, throws, leg locks, take-downs, and stand-up self-defense moves). One of the things that makes our program so effective is that we spar during every class! That means you get plenty of opportunities to practice what you learn.
An Olympic sport, Judo is its own unique style of martial arts and is a very effective method of self-defense. The basic philosophy of Judo is to use your opponent’s size and strength against them. In Judo, you will learn to use over 65 throws, numerous pinning techniques, and hundreds of arm bars and choking techniques. Judo teaches self-defense, character development, competitive skills and humility. And at Combined Martial Science, we are a national Olympic-sanctioned school, so we even compete on a national level!
Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai Kickboxing is known worldwide as one of the most effective stand-up forms of self-defense. Our Muay Thai Kickboxing program is a great workout, whether you’ve never kicked before, or you are a seasoned martial artist. You will learn a variety of stand-up techniques, including the disciplines of Muay Thai, kickboxing, boxing and Karate. By using our easy-to-learn techniques, you will start to see improvements in your flexibility, strength and endurance just weeks after joining. During the course of your training, you will learn punches, kicks, elbows and knees, all of which come together to create an awesome form of self-defense!
The traditional sport of Japan! Sumo, as a sport and a martial art, is great exercise! This class will help you to develop strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Many participants enjoy Sumo simply as exercise or recreation, while others take amateur competition seriously. Sumo is a relatively safe contact sport that focuses on technique and self-improvement. At Combined Martial Science, you can feel confident that all our classes are taught by national and world Sumo champions!
